Affordable housing is basically non-existent on the Treasure Coast even for those in the middle-class.
Families are forced due to increasing home costs to live in sub-standard housing, or hotels which allow a per-day rate.
The housing crisis is getting worse everyday due to the increase in home sales and rising property values, and now due to the recent hurricanes even the sub-standard housing is no longer affordable.
