Lucas Robert Designs is the creation of Lora Gunn and Shannon Mackintosh and is a direct result of their joint travels to Asia. While visiting Beijing, China for the first time in January 2004, the pair was introduced to the enormity of variations in pearls. Being avid jewelry lovers themselves, they decided to embark on the journey of jewelry design. Their intentions were to design unique pieces using a variety of pearls and gemstones that were not only beautiful, but were affordable, as well. As Lora is fond of saying,
