Jeanne Darst - Writer and Performer
Jeanne Darst is a writer and performer whose plays have been performed in her living room in Brooklyn, a barn in Vermont, bars on the lower east side, an eco-resort in Hawaii, a hotel lounge in Vieques, Puerto Rico, an art gallery in downtown Los Angeles, and most recently a Republicans house in Palm Beach. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, the radio program This American Life, Filmmaker magazine, and on Sundance Channel. Her cartoons have been bought by The New Yorker. Jeanne is a New York Foundation for the Arts 2004 Fellow in fiction.
Jeanne is working on a book of stories about her family.

Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church Torquay
The area served by Holy Angels includes the Torquay districts of Chelston, Cockington and Livermead. Chelston is the most populated part, while Livermead includes a section of the seafront with some large hotels as well as smaller hotels and guest houses. The historic and picturesque village of Cockington is a tourist draw; beyond are acres of farmland covering rolling hills and valleys. Also found within the parish bounderies are the two Torquay grammar schools and the two railway stations.
Holy Angels church dates from 1938. Hilda and Edith Robinson came from a wealthy Lancashire family. They settled in Devon bout 1918. The diocese of Plymouth benefitted greatly from their faith and generosity, as they financed the building of five churches
