The Axis Ensemble is a group of musicians proficient in various styles of small-group music.
The leader and director is Catherine Bent, a cellist, pianist, composer and arranger with a substantial reputation in New York City and New England based on many years of experience in the wedding band business as a side-musician and as a leader.

We’ve accompanied ceremonies at the United Nations, events at the Four Seasons, the Pierre, the Plaza, the Mandarin, the Taj, the Waterfront and the Harbor Hotel. We’ve played for royalty and for office parties. We’ve brought an intimate lyricism to weddings and pulled out all the stops at celebrity bashes.
