De stichting Promotie Jeugdvoetbal Leeuwarden is in het leven geroepen om het jeugdvoetbal in Leeuwarden en omstreken te promoten. Het betreft een samenwerkingsverband van Cambuur/Leeuwarden, de Leeuwarder amateurclubs en vertegenwoordigers van de KNVB, afdeling Noord. PJL, Promotie Jeugdvoetbal Leeuwarden, is in de regio Leeuwarden geen onbekende en scoorde hoge ogen met diverse evenementen. Zo organiseerde de stichting verscheidene malen een groot zaalvoetbaltoernooi voor de jeugd van de Leeuwarder voetbalclubs, het Huis aan Huis Straatvoetbaltoernooi dat in het centrum van Leeuwarden gespeeld werd, en Het Kampioenschap van Leeuwarden voor A junioren t/m F pupillen. Op dit moment beperkt de stichting zich tot een aantal evenementen en ligt de nadruk op de organisatie van de Competitie onder 23 en het project Kickers, Stand Up Speak Up.
