He has studied with such notable jazz gurus as Danilo Perez, Fred Hersch, and Jerry Bergonzi. He has not competed on American Idol.

Devin Kelly is a freelance percussionist currently residing in Los Angeles, California. A native of Ithaca, New York, Devin received a Master of Music degree in drumset performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York (2005).
Mr. Kelly has shared the stage with Clark Terry, Gary Foster, Bob Brookmeyer, Barry Harris, Gary Foster, Stacy Rowles, Sam Most, John Campbell and many other jazz luminaries.
Devin has toured nationally and internationally as a member of the pit orchestras for several Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Most recently he played drumset in the orchestra for the 2003 international tour of "Barry Manliow's Copacabana", produced by Windwood Theatricals Inc.
In addition to performance, Mr. Kelly is an educator specializing in private and group percussion instruction. Mr. Kelly has a service that creates custom drumset transcriptions for various styles of music. The transcriptions are intended for educational purposes.
