The Barnacles Are Coming! The Barnacles are HERE, in The Florida Keys! The Barnacles are a Marathon-based, acoustic-guitar duo formed for the purpose of bringing a fresh dimension to entertainment in the Florida Keys! Randy Turner and Chris Stanley formed The Barnacles with the idea of selecting only the best and sometimes most-musically-difficult songs from the 60’s and 70’s, and presenting them “un-plugged” to the residents and visitors in the Florida Keys! The music presented by The Barnacles has been carefully chosen and is purposefully different from most music performed in The Keys. Instead of the usual fare heard nightly throughout The Keys, such as “Margueritaville” and “Brown-Eyed Girl”, The Barnacles will be performing chosen classics such as “From the Beginning” by Emerson Lake and Palmer, “Behind Blue Eyes” and “Pinball Wizard” by The Who, “The Story in Your Eyes” by The Moody Blues, “Taxi” by Harry Chapin, and “Year of the Cat” by Al Stewart. Several medleys, including a 10-minute Beatles tribute medley, add another special dimension to an evening with The Barnacles. And with a repertoire of over 250 songs, The Barnacles are happy to play virtually any and all requests from your guests. Also, since The Barnacles perform with a wireless PA system, they are free to leave the stage and entertain your guests “up close and personal”, creating an unforgettable evening for your clientele!
