Spirit of the Rockies. LLC - Fine Art, Wildlife, and Nature Photography
In 2004, thanks to a botched surgery performed by the Veterans Administration, Brenden Mulhern became a disabled veteran. Life changed dramatically for him and his family. He went from being an ever-busy Project Manager to being permanently disabled.
Although no one would have chosen that path, his disability has allowed him to become an avid nature and wildlife photographer. Many times he has a totally different perspective on a shot than your average photographer, because he was forced to slow down his pace, allowing him to see the beauty that most in a hurry; just pass by.
He is mobility impaired, walking with Canadian crutches, specially made boots or getting around on his electric scooter. While it is true that he can’t make any strenuous hikes, he has managed to do some smaller hikes on his crutches, with his backpack of camera gear in tow.
Life threw him a curve, but he has decided to make the most of it, and Spirit of the Rockies sells his photography so that others will have an opportunity to see the hidden beauties of this country.
Currently, he is on a 2+ year journey with his family to travel around the United States and take pictures of the country before his disease progresses. He has made it to Alaska, and plans to spend the next year here with his family so that he can not only see everything and get pictures, but also that he can experience each season in Alaska.
