Veaiki - Kulturvandring ved foten av Halti
Veaiki offers cultural guided walks in rural arctic landscape, placed in the narrow canyons of the ruins of Birtavarre gruber in Ankerlia which is in the innermost part of Kåfjorddalen valley, a short distance from Finlands highest mountain Halti. The mines produced pure copper ore using the bessemer melting method. Copper were shipped out from the bottom of Kåfjord, a side-arm of the Lyngenfjord. Residues of the copper mining and copper smelting process are still visible.
Trough a historical setting with performance and storytelling tourists will be brought trough the area and experience the rise and downfall of the copper mines of Birtavarre.

Veaiki - kulturvandring i Ankerlia - tilbyr guidete turer i landlig arktisk landskap, i starten av de smale canyons ligger ruinene av Birtavarre gruber i Ankerlia innerst i Kåfjorddalen, bare et kort stykke fra Finlands høyeste fjell Halti. Gruvene produserte kobber ved å bruke bessemer-metoden i smelteprosessen. Kobber ble skipet ut fra havna i bunnen av Kåfjord, en sidearm til Lyngenfjorden. Restene etter utvinning av kobber og smelteprosessene er forsatt synlig.
I en historisk setting med opptreden og fortellinger vil turister bli tatt med gjennom området og oppleve kobbergruvene i Birtavarre sin vekst og fall.
