My passions for the photograph started at an early age. I remember watching old black and white movies with family and being absorbed by the cinematography by some of the greats. The films of Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Wells, the way they used the stark contrast of black and white to tell the story set the stage for how I approach my photography. Each click of the camera should mean something.
Taking a photo is more than just capturing an image. I believe it's about capturing a singular moment that reveals a story and awakens emotions. The glare in someone's eye, the position of a person's body, the unspoken language of their movement all help bring the story to the picture. When someone looks at my photography I want them to see not just the photo but to also see a story.
The services I provide are portraits of children, adults, families and pets; from traditional to themed dramatic portraits. There is no one right portrait look for everyone. Everybody has different tastes, hobbies, sports, activities and the sessions I create reflect that dynamic. I also take sessions with groups, events and for engagements. Each session starts with a consultation to discuss the direction we envision the shoot headed, the location, the wardrobe and the make-up if necessary. When the logistics are finalized then it's time to schedule the shoot. The locations range from the studio to the beach and anywhere in between. As long as we're able to shoot there we'll get the shots we envisioned.
