Greenhouse Gases and Animal Agriculture Conference 2010
An international conference where the latest research on emissions of greenhouse gases and mitigation strategies are reported for the livestock industry. Ongoing negotiations of the post- Kyoto accord, increasing global concern about climate change, global media coverage of the impacts of the livestock industry on the environment, and emergence of the global carbon trading system are certain to only heighten the significance of this conference as we approach 2010. The conference is expected to bring in 250 to 300 leading researchers (science and policy) from upwards of 27 countries. The conference has grown to be the main platform for sharing research on livestock related greenhouse gases and attracts scientists, policy makers and governments. The conference will be held at the Banff Park Lodge in Banff, Alberta, from October 3-8, 2010.
