The Golden - Fingerlicking Powerfolk
The Golden: “I Go Nowhere” - Powerfolk from strange places “I didn’t think this town could be my home” - A man from Basel in Zurich. Matthias Erb, former singer and songwriter of Swiss pop bands Rondeau and The Saltbee, has found a new home for his music in a new place. Oerlikon, a suburb of Zurich, inspired the album cover as well as several songs. It is where the songs were written and produced. It is also where, through collaboration with Zurich-based Rapper Lügner, a new sound emerged combining elements of folk pop and electronic beats. This is how two musical worlds, as strange from each other as Zurich and Basel, collide - although it hardly matters where you are: home is everywhere. “Wherever I go, I go nowhere.”
