Young Composers Challenge
The Young Composers Challenge is open to young musicians (ages 13-18) living in the United States. The Challenge is simple. First, you will take part in a free full-day workshop with nationally-recognized composers. Then you will have all summer to write your own score. Finally, a panel of judges will choose the top three orchestral and top three ensemble pieces, and these will be performed by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in a public concert at the Bob Carr auditorium. The winners earn prize money and professional recordings of their compositions.
