BIRD ON A WIRE PHOTOGRAPHY
How I approach photography is similar to picking out an outfit... I can't just wear one thing, I must combine multiple items to create something visually compelling. I can't just take a photograph of a sunset or an old building and be satisfied with my work... I see it more as the background is my dress and a prop or a person is my peep toe pumps, they may look cute separate but together... they are perfect.
The best way I can explain my ideas would be that I see in pictures... everywhere I go I take snap shots.
I'm a sucker for old, weathered wood, fashion, photohunts (a full tank of gas, props, multiple outfits and a model and driving any where to stop and take pictures of whatever jumps out at me), natural light and traveling.
My last semester, I got the opportunity to intern with Carl Heilman II to learn the business. I graduated two years ago with an Associates in Communications&Media Arts. I've taken off two semesters over the past two years to travel abroad, give back and discover what area of photography I want to further pursue. I'm taking advantage of every opportunity presented to me and will keep exploring and learning til I die.
It is my love... It is my passion... It is my life.
Currently- in NY was in Panama for about 5 months and South Africa for 3 weeks...editing day and night....and getting ready for more weddings and engagements!
