Bethel Historical Society
The Bethel Historical Society provides visitors with a doorway to the past
at its Regional History Center campus, consisting of the 1821 O'Neil Robinson House and the 1813 Dr. Moses Mason House
properties, both listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Society's museum and library collections include
a wide range of materials documenting the heritage of northern New England, with major concentrations devoted to the history
of western Maine and the White Mountains. The Society also provides lectures, conferences, craft demonstrations,
special events, and educational activities for members and the general public throughout the year.

The
Lower Makefield Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the
preservation of the beauty and historic significance of Lower Makefield Township
and Bucks County. The Society promotes the research and publishing of findings
regarding local history and culture. With more than 250 historical sites and structures existing in Lower Makefield today,
the Lower Makefield Historical Society's mission is to raise public awareness,
stimulate the appreciation of our local architectural heritage, and to inspire
preservation efforts whenever and wherever possible. Just some of these
historic sites, dating from the 1700's, include Elm Lowne, Henry Hough House, Hillside Farm, Bennett House, Bile's Corner and more. Dedication to preservation
helps perpetuate the special character of our township.
