HomeSchoolers Quarterly
HomeSchoolers Quarterly is a non-profit, on-line, literary magazine serving the homeschool community. HQ is written and run by homeschooled high schoolers and is designed to bridge the geographical distances among homeschooled students, to foster a sense of community, to share our talents and to enhance dialogue among our peers. HQ features several sections for students to showcase their creativity and their diverse viewpoints. Homeschool high-school students may contribute by writing original works of prose for our Short Story section or original works of poetry for our Sound & Meter section. HQ's Points to Ponder section provides students a forum for commentary on diverse subjects ranging from current world and political events to the challenges and practices of contemporary life. For students getting ready to make the jump from secondary education to college and university, College Corner provides an opportunity with our In the Mix section to share experiences and advice on preparing for college. College Corner also includes a College TalkBack section where homeschoolers already graduated from high school may share their views on the impact of their homeschool experience on their collegiate life. In our Profiles of Success section, we feature stories of the post-graduate achievements of the former homeschooled students. Submissions to HQ may be made to submissions@homeschoolersquarterly.com. It is the mission of HQ to bring homeschoolers closer through communication.
