A Promise of Hope Affair
Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) would like to invite you to our annual A Promise of Hope Affair, PAF's annual black tie optional gala to provide financial support to our direct patient services to help patients obtain access to quality healthcare. Our seventh annual A Promise of Hope Affair is on February 29, 2009 at the Newport News Marriott at City Center and will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, and dancing with music provided by Slapwater. Ms. Barbara Ciara, Managing Editor and Evening News Anchor for our local CBS affiliate, has served as Honorary Chair and Mistress of Ceremonies for the past seven years and will do so again this year.

Letters of Hope
Letters of Hope was founded in 2009 for the purpose of brightening the moods of chronically ill
pediatric patients. Many of them have leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors, and other serious illnesses that make their stay in the
hospital very long and dreary. Through encouraging letters and cheering pictures, we hope to lift their spirits a little bit and
make their stay a little less gloomy. The goal of the organization is to connect kids who want to make a difference with kids who
are suffering from cancer.
