Police and Clergy Team
The Police and Clergy Team is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in Houston, Texas.
PACT is active only in Southwest Houston, but is working on plans to extend the program across Houston.
Our membership consists of a wide range of clergy from various Christian denominations, religions, and faith based organizations. Some of these include Assemblies of God, Baptist, Catholic, Church of Christ, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Pentecostal, non-denominational, Orthodox Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam.
PACT began as an initiative of the Houston Police Department and their desire to partner with churches, religious institutions, and faith based organizations in Southwest Houston.
PACT members are on call to respond to crisis events at the invitation of the Houston Police Department where a member of the clergy is requested by the community. We also ride with police officers on a regular basis to provide assistance to the community.
