Ecohealth 2010
The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is delighted to invite you to London for the 2010 Ecohealth Conference on the theme: Global Ecohealth Challenges; Multiple Perspectives.
This is the third biennial conference of the International Association for Ecology and Health (IAEH). Association members have special rates for this and all Ecohealth conferences, and we invite all conference participants to become members of the IAEH.
In Ecohealth 2010 we aim to bring together academic institutions, government bodies and civil society groups to discuss jointly the major challenges facing people, wildlife and ecosystems internationally in 2010 and the future. We are placing a major emphasis on the perspectives of peoples most vulnerable to the harms of ecosystem destruction, including indigenous peoples, women, and young people.

WElcome to the Himalayan Medical Foundation a non profit organization in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal offering free medical care, including free medicine and free hospital treatment in some cases, to the monastic and lay population of the valley, since 1993, with six clinics operating at different monasteries throughout the area, a region of nepal marked by chronic political instability and little structured social support systems and incredible pollution, but at the same time a deep and lively cultural mix that shines in the faces which reflect so many different histories and origins
