I live along the sandy beach in Venice, California. I am lucky enough to make a living doing what I love, and that is capturing the true beauty of life. My passion for photography developed over the years as a result of my mother's never-ending obsession with the camera, using me as her personal subject time and time again. My father, also known for always having his camera in hand gave me my first Nikon 35mm at the age of 14. It was a gift that has enriched my life ever since. I began spending countless hours wandering through the rich, nature-laden mountains where I grew up in Northern California, photographing the absolute beauty that surrounded me.
Though I began my journey shooting film, using an old Nikon 100, I have since ventured into the realm of digital photography, using the Canon Mark II (N). This allows for a little more creative control both in shooting as well as editing. It is a wonderful outlet for personal expression. Though I have taken many photography classes over the years, I must give credit & ultimate respect to a true photo guru, John Solano. He has passed on an abundance of knowledge and expertise, something I could only hope to attain in a lifetime of shooting.
