2/2nd Pioneer Battalion
The 2/2 Pioneer Battalion fought in World War 2 at Fort Merdjayoun and Damour in Syria; Leuwiliang and Tjampea in Java; Lae, Ramu Valley and Shaggy Ridge in New Guinea; Tarakan Island and Balikpapan in Borneo. The first forming of the 2/2nd was captured in Java and many died on the infamous Burma Railway and en route to forced labour camps in Japan when the hellships Tamohoko Maru and Rakuyo Maru were torpedoed.

Chris Leighton - drummer, percussionist, elbow musician
Chris Leighton is a drummer, percussionist, producer, and instructor based in the Seattle area. He currently records and tours with Laura Love, and has also worked with Bill Frisell, Randy Bachman, Ann and Nancy Wilson, and Diane Schuur. He received the Washington Blues Society's award for 'Best Drums' in 1991, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003. Chris's alter ego, Slim Spincter, released 'Christmas Gas,' his infamous collection of holiday carols, on CD in Fall 2000.
