VIRGINIA SNOW Selected as Gil Benjamin Citizen of the Year Originally from Canton, Ohio, Virginia has been thoroughly involved in the local community since at least 1977 when she began volunteering her services at Granada Hills Community Hospital where she served as President of the Auxiliary from 1979-1982. Subsequently she has gone on to serve in the Granada Theatre, Hal Bernson’s Police, Fire and Public Safety Committee and Director of the Granada Hills Chamber of Commerce. Virginia has served as Chairperson of the following organizations: Granada Hills Woman’s Club, Haven Hills, C.A.T.S. (Center for Assault Treatment Services), Child and Family Guidance Center, Postscripts, P.A.L.S. (Police Activity League Supporters). Currently she serves on the Board of S.O.L.I.D. (Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire). Recently over the last two years, she organized a coat and jacket drive for the homeless which resulted in 433 coats collected due to her efforts.
