Why inspired?
Take a look at my photographs, and ask yourself who couldn't be inspired by these sights. As I began to put this collection together, it occurred to me that I have had such good fortune to have travelled the world, met such incredible people, and had so many extraordinary experiences. And it is these people and experiences that inspired me to make the photographs that depict them.
Where can inspiration be found? Look around you – its everywhere. Funny though, that we often have to go searching in foreign surroundings to be inspired, when we are surrounded by an environment that would inspire others. It seems that the unfamiliar in life has the effect of awakening our senses to hidden possibilities. And inspiration can be found within anything our senses can perceive – a thought, a smell, a touch, a sound, an image.
I love that fact that we can inspire others. What a gift this is – to be able to provide someone else - often a complete stranger - with the motivation, encouragement and stimulation to better themselves through expression. I have been inspired by so many things over the course of my life, the list seems endless. This web site is dedicated to the people, events, and sometimes just the blind circumstances that continue to provide me with purpose. I hope in some small way it provides you with inspiration to realize your potential - paint a picture, hum a song, take a photograph, create a wonderful meal for someone you love, hug your child/spouse/parents/sibling, look up at the sky and give thanks for this incredible world we are privileged to enjoy, help someone less fortunate, recycle, take care of yourself. These are all things that we can be inspired to do.
