iSeries System Engineer
Leveraging 25 years of technical expertise for improving business processes through the use of technology. My experience includes, project management, iSeries application development, contract and consulting engagements, systems integration, middleware, disaster recovery and systems administration. I have held the position of Information Technology Manager where my responsibilities included managing IT staff and contractors, administering iSeries and xSeries Servers, Nortel PBX, firewall, UPS, backup, voice and internet services. Directed, organized, managed and supervised multiple project teams for multiple projects. Responsibilities included equipment selection and procurement, software evaluation and selection, contract negotiations, all technology and voice related purchases. Managed projects include, enterprise Content Management project utilizing IBM Content Manager Document Repository, Disaster Recovery Project with offsite testing with Sungard, administration of BRMS, installation and administration of Domino, Lotus Notes, Quadrant Enterprise Fax, IBM Lotus Workplace and WebSphere. Recent projects include setup i5 reports on Mobius ViewDirect enterprise content and records management suite; then integrate with the system i5. Developed JavaServer Faces application, utilizing Websphere Development Studio Client and accessing DB2 on i5/OS. Also setup WAS to run the JavaServer Faces application on the i5. Most recent project was part of a Electronic Content Management project utilizing IBM Content Manager V5R3 and IBM Content Manager Workflow Builder.
