Tamae Ishii was born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Tamae has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and worked in the high tech sector for over eight years before deciding to move to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
Tamae is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and has worked with industry leaders such as Calvin Klein, Zac Posen, Lela Rose, Tory Burch, & J.Crew. Tamae resides in the Upper East Side with her two cats, Chloe & Henri-Pierre. .
