Iron isn't just for buildings any more
Stanley Parkinson's art is a blending of steel and some form of stone, semi-precious stones, gem stones, fossils, slate, or tile. Some times it is polished steel, sometimes painted black, sometimes powder-coated. Orthoceras and trilobite fossils are common in his work but so are the lovely curved ammonites. Amethyst has been the most commen gem-like stone he's used, those he also uses rose quartz and a variety of other stones --even petrified wood. He also does smaller table top or floor pieces.
