Ride for a Vet
A motorcycle ride beginning during the Memorial Day weekend parade in Burnsville, Yancey County, North Carolina which is scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 12:00 pm. Those interested should register between 8:00am and 12:00pm. The cost to register in this event is $15.00 per bike, and $10.00 per extra rider. This includes dinner for each rider. All riders will ride as the first wave in the Memorial Day parade, and will then leave town for a scenic ride in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There will be live music, refreshments, a raffle, door prizes, and 50/50. All proceeds for this event will be donated to the Mount Mitchell Marine Corps League 1266 to assist veterans who are unable to assist themselves and must depend on others for help.
