The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Judicial Branch comprises one of the most advanced Tribal Court systems in the United States. A fully functional District Court and Supreme Court operating under a comprehensive set of tribal laws allows the Nation to resolve disputes without outside intervention. As the Court of General Jurisdiction, the District Court hears a variety of cases including but not limited to Criminal Felony, Criminal Misdemeanor, Guardianship, Adoption, Civil, Family Domestic, and Employment Protection. As the workhorse of the Judicial Branch, the District Courts annual caseload has increased annually for the last ten years.
