Hello and welcome to my site! Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Deborah and I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I was born in Oklahoma, call Tennessee home, but live in Virginia--let me explain that one! After being born in Oklahoma, I started traveling when I was six weeks old. I have lived a very privileged life as far as being rich with traveling adventures go. I had never attended one single school for a complete school year until I started high school. I was in Tennessee then (guess that's why I call Tennessee home). I completed my education there, met my husband there, married there and started another set of traveling adventures. My husband joined the Air Force and off we went to tour the world! After three wonderful sons and 25 years of traveling, he retired from the Air Force and then began another career with Government Services. That explains why I currently live in Virginia. His next retirement date is in August 2011 and we hope to return to Tennessee shortly thereafter.
I have always loved taking pictures--my first camera was a Kodak Brownie (now I'm telling my age)! I have used all types of cameras--point and shoots (various brands), Nikon SLRs, then went digital--again with point and shoot varieties. Now I actually have a Sony DSLR (my big girl camera) and I love it. I literally have tens of thousands of film, slides, and digital photos. I began a project a while back of converting all to digital--two years later and I have made it to the 1980s--still have a way to go!!
I loved photographing my children and the many wonderful places where we have lived and visited. Now I have shifted my focus on my wonderful grandchildren. I also take great joy in photographing nature. God blesses us with so much beauty and I love the joy of capturing it.
I am now on a mission to photograph people during special moments in their lives--Senior pictures, Engagements, Weddings, Pregnancy, whatever!
