Uzan Hazelnut Trading Company is one of the leading traders in hazelnut market since 1943, serving to major international buyers as a sourcing agent and as a marketing unit to well known processors.
Being located at Istanbul, commercial center of Turkey, a country which is the hub of the hazelnut world , we are in daily contact with all main actors of the market and provide all necessary and fresh information for correct decision making as well as the tools for completing a successful contract.
Our history goes back to 1943, the year our founder, the late Hakkı Uzan started up his personal business in Istanbul on marketing and exports of hazelnuts.
Being one of the few pioneers of hazelnut exporters who started global marketing of this unique fruit many decades ago from Turkey, primarily to European food industry, the structure of our business has developed into a joint stock company in 1986 under the name Uzan Hazelnut Trading Company Inc.
Our mission is to provide commercial, operational and technical business solutions as a reliable intermediary, to hazelnut buyers around the globe as well as to hazelnut suppliers at the origin.
All products are within major standards of the hazelnut market as well as being in accordance with our customers’ specifications for raw and processed hazelnuts in any form.
Our suppliers are ISO and HACCP qualified and are equipped to provide all common sorts of packing, i.e. jute bags, big bags, vacuum packs and carton boxes . Hazelnut paste can either be in food grade drums or bulk in tanker trucks.
