Larry's Barber College & Entourage Beauty School
Larry’s Barber College, located at 10350 South Halsted in Chicago, IL, was opened in 2004 by renowned barber and teacher, Larry Roberts, Jr. Mr. Roberts became an entrepreneur at the age of 19 when he established his first barber shop in Matteson, Il. Two years later, in 1994, his second shop was opened and it is still a thriving business today. Before founding Larry’s Barber College (No. 2), on 79th & Langley in 2006, he had also owned and operated other successful shops and hair salons in Chicago. Now in 2007, Mr. Roberts has incorporated Entourage Beauty College, adjacent to the second barber college, into his circle of business ventures. Larry has over 20 years experience in cutting hair, and his clientele includes professional athletes: baseball great, Gary Sheffield; football icons: Brian Young, Chris Calloway and Derrick Williams; jazz legend, Ramsey Lewis; and gospel megastars: Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin and staff, and Yolanda Adams and staff. Furthermore, he has also personally designed an instructional DVD, Cutting Hair with Larry, made available by Andis Clipper Company Magazine. For both of the barber Colleges the tuition is $4,000.00 with only $500 down and the balance will be $3,500. There has to be a total of 1500 hours completed and for full time it will take 10months to complete and for part time it will take 19months to complete. Monthly payments for full time will be $350 a month til the balance is paid and part time will be $250 until the balance is paid. With the $500 down each student will receive 3pair of professional clippers 2 mannequinns kinky and straight head a work book and a text book. Beauty school is $6,000 and it is $500 down and with the $500 down the student will receive a stove and curling iron set along with 2 straight hair mannequinns, work book and textbook and some extras such as rollers and pins, etc. the balance will be $5,500 and the monthly payments will be the same as the barbers and also they still have to do 1500 hours and it still will take the same amount of time.
