On September 1st, 2001, the ensemble, Another Urban Riff, had been performing their critically acclaimed play, MONO, on the Lower East Side of New York City for one year. Three days after the attacks on the World Trade Center, the director and actors – except for one actor who was missing – returned to the theatre for the first time to vote on whether it was okay to continue performing a dark comedy.
