Susan de Witt - Lith Photography: Preparing a photomontage using lith papers and chemicals, Susan de Witt employs a number of different techniques to enhance the outcome of her photographs. By combining multiple images, she seeks to tell a story, create an illusion or alter reality. She believes that the lith process, as taught by Tim Rudman, gives her images a quality not unlike a drawing, whereas if she used traditional black-and-white processes, she could not accomplish the grainy, graphic outcome she desires.
