The LORD and the Lord
LORD in the Old Testament of the King James Version represents the Hebrew word for God which, in English, literally means Jehovah or Yahweh. Lord, with only the L capitalized, usually indicates a title for God based on a translation of a Hebrew word that means lord in English. In the New Testament Lord or LORD are translations of the same Greek word, kurios. This site is about how that translation works.
