Lotus Lake Camp - Home Page
Established in 1952, Lotus Lake Day Camp provides a tradition of day camping to children ages 4-14 in Central Vermont. Situated in a rural setting, the camp offers a wide variety of outdoor activities.
Co-Directors (1968 - present)
Dorothy M. Milne - Field hockey and swim coach at Bement School, Deerfield, MA, Dorothy continues the traditions of the founder and her father, Proctor Martin, in helping children develop skills by working and playing together in the outdoors. She oversees the program and supervises the staff.
John Milne - retired physics teacher and tennis coach at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, MA, John combines a love of working with young people with his engineering skills in overseeing the facilities, organizing special projects and handling administrative duties.
MISSION
The camp’s goal is to help each child develop individually by providing an opportunity to:
• improve in swimming and develop skill in other activities
• learn about the natural environment through outdoor experiences
• grow in social relationships by broadening friendships and participating in group activities
• develop decision making skills and independence in a safe environment.

Ten Mile Creek Nursery
Ten Mile Creek Nursery is a nursery located south of Hartford, Alabama that can help you with general landscape plants, beach restoration and coastal native plants, and the sale of ornamental lotus, Nelumbo nucifera. We currently have almost 30,000 square feet of greenhouse space plus several acres of container plants and trees. It is our goal to provide our customers with beautiful, quality plants while being a good steward of land and water resources. Best management practices are studied and implemented in order to ensure that the land and water resources will be preserved for many more generations to come.
