Dilian Obretenov was born on May 25, 1974 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He started playing guitar when he was 15 and a few years later he also started playing bass guitar. During his music career Dilian had the chance to play with many different musicians in a wide variety of music genres. He admires the work of musicians and bands such as Tower of Power, Tribal Tech, Allan Holdsworth, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Scofield among others.
The idea to combine some aspects of his education (Masters in Engineering), with his love of music, and quality instruments, came to fruition about 7 years ago. After number of attempts, reading plenty of technical literature, and many consultations, Dilian Obretenov successfully finished his first instrument 6 years ago. Since then, Dilian had purchased and also invented some very nifty and valuable machines, tools, and gadgets which led to the completion of numerous other instruments. Currently, Dilian Obretenov is a successful sought-after luthier and his instruments are used by many musicians in Bulgaria, Germany, and Switzerland.
