A disenfranchised young person with ADHD, depression, autism, eating disorder, poor communication skills, poor mood regulation and related issues can learn critical skills from observing and interacting with the animals at Farming Connections, Inc. The farm animals help to teach trust building, self-soothing techniques, assertive communication, self-awareness, impulse control, focusing strategies, cooperation, joint communication anger management and other positive coping behaviors. A young person who learns how to form positive connections with others stands a much better chance of developing into a contributing member of our community at large.
