American Meditation Society - individually designed meditation
The American Meditation Society teaches meditation techniques that are individually designed for each person. Instruction typically takes place in a private home or spiritual retreat center. The initial preparatory techniques are taught in a seven session course and covers a wide range of topics, including meditation techniques, energy flow, handling fear and anger, improving concentration, self-understanding and personal growth, and the integration of spiritual understanding into daily life. Upon completion of this course, a unique set of practices is prescribed for each individual. The practices involve two 20-30 minutes sessions a day and are simple, relaxing and uplifting. The American Meditation Society is a non-profit, non sectarian educational organization. Private donations and proceeds from affiliate programs help fund the organization.
