Ghost Burn is a weekly half-hour television series that follows the exploits of Founder and Lead Investigator, Myron Rogers, and team members of West Georgia Paranormal Investigations (WGPI). Rogers leads the investigators as they investigate paranormal activity in the State of Georgia and the southeast.
WGPI uses up to date technology as they record and evaluate evidence gathered from various locations that include private homes, businesses, museums and government buildings.
Production staff and investigators use hand-held infrared cameras as they move from room to room. A manned HADD DVR system records the investigation process from four strategically placed fixed IR cameras mounted above. EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) are recorded on digital audio recorders carried by the investigators Much of the evidence is strikingly clear, especially some of the EVP's from angry spirits who are not in the mood for visitors. Heart rates spike when voice phenomenon is audible to investigators during real time vigils. The WGPI investigators split up into groups of two or three member teams to cover a large location. Sometimes there are guest investigators from other area paranormal groups. Occasionally, the situation may call for a one-person or solo vigil. At all times, for safety, the investigators are closely monitored, no matter the size of the team. Most paranormal investigations occur at night and run into the wee hours of the morning. It is dark. For many first-timers, bumping around in haunted, dark unfamiliar surroundings can be unnerving. In many ways, it is the ultimate freak-out experience.
The core investigative team is a seemingly fearless lot gathered from diverse professions and lifestyles. Lead Investigator Myron Rogers’ background is Law Enforcement and Corrections. Technical Manager, Jeff Planthold is a medium sized giant of man with a geeky since of humor. His friend and rival, Rhonda Clark is the Case Manager with a can-do attitude. Rhonda’s husband, Kevin is the group sensitive. The more normal sized Kevin and Big Jeff often team up as a Mutt and Jeff act while debunking paranormal activity. Beth Dolgner is a seasoned investigator and a paranormal author. Beth also serves as a lead on WGPI’s Public Relations team with Rogers and Ghost Burn television producer, Les Anderson of Red Sail Productions. Businesswoman and entrepreneur Andrea Hernandez rounds out the team as an Investigator-In-Training.
