SIREN, Service,Immigrants Rights & Education Network
SIREN is unique among immigrant rights organizations in that it combines policy work, community organizing and direct services. SIREN developed the following three program areas to further its immigrant rights agenda:
Policy Advocacy — To promote policies that protect immigrant rights and empower immigrants to make an impact on the political decisions that affect their lives.
Community Organizing— To assist communities in tapping their potential for leadership and to allow empowerment, education and communication among all communities.
Immigrant Services — To provide application assistance, information and education to immigrant and refugee communities in order that they may become full participants in society.
SIREN's integration of the three programmatic strategies guarantees that SIREN's work, in partnership with countless ally organizations and community members, consistently reflects and responds to the real needs and problems faced by Santa Clara immigrant and refugee communities.

MicroRate | Analysis on Microfinance & Microcredit Investment, Microfinance Rating & Evaluation
MicroRate is the first microfinance rating agency, dedicated to evaluating performance and risk in microfinance institutions (MFIs) and microfinance investment vehicles (MIVs) or microfinance funds. As the first microfinance rater, MicroRate was founded to promote independent evaluation and increased transparency. MicroRate has conducted over 500 microfinance institution evaluations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Europe. MicroRate was the first microfinance rating agency to be formally approved by the World Bank and CGAP. MicroRate created the Performance Rating and in 2008 and 2009, MicroRate was the leading microfinance rater in Social Ratings. The microfinance sector highly values MicroRate’s evaluations for their independent, objective analyses of MFIs and robust content with microfinance benchmarks and best practices. MicroRate developed performance indicators for MFIs, conducted the first rating of a microfinance CDO (MIV), published reports such as the “Technical Guide,” “Role Reversal” and “Cautious Resilience.”
