Photo Biography - Liz Hughes
I have been taking landscape and travel photographs most of my life and recently discovered the joys of both close-up and night photography. In 2008, when my youngest daughter left home for University, I took my camera, and some might say my brain, off Automatic and have been experimenting ever since. Since 2008 I have benefited from amazing instruction through photography courses taken at Metro (Edmonton), as well as workshops attended in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
Although I live in the centre of a large City, I prefer to spend my free time travelling and, when close to home, exploring rural Alberta. Through my photography, I hope to share the joy of slowing down and discovering something unique and beautiful around every corner - even in my own backyard.
