Brooks Preservation Society
A 501(c)(3) non-profit all volunteer organization, the Brooks Preservation Society was formed in 2008 with the mission to protect,
preserve, and celebrate historic structures and artifacts in Brooks Maine as well as the surrounding communities
for the benefit of the citizens and local Maine economy. Our immediate objectives are to protect, preserve, and restore
the Belfast & Moosehead Lake (B&ML) railroad corridor, the railroad station located in Brooks, Maine, and several pieces of
Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR locomotives, railcars, and MOW equipment.

Artist Robert Francis Williams, American Impressionist, 1881 to 1972
Artist Robert F. Williams' is best known for his interpretation of the American landscape. The artist won national acclaim when 30 of his paintings were selected for a solo exhibit in the Federal Builiding at the 1939-40 New York World's Fair. And as evidence of the breadth of his talent, Williams also had two still lifes exhibited at the IBM Pavilion at the same World's Fair. During a career that spanned 70 years, Williams produced and impressive body of work. His landscapes, seascapes, portraits and still lifes have been exhibited throughout the county and many of his paintings are owned by private collectors.
