Mark Duval attended U.C. Davis, achieved a degree in education, and is a California State University Certified Fitness Instructor with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and psychology. He achieved special recognition from the American Council on Exercise for his Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instruction Certification. These certifications are kept current by attending continuing education seminars.Mark has worked in the fitness field since 1984. His experience has included conducting exercise programs for health clubs nationwide and training with a world class title bodybuilder. Mark has had instruction and managerial roles with The Golden Door Spa and Rancho La Puerta. His studies have included Tai Chi, yoga and nutrition.In 1988, mark joined a partnership in the San Francisco Bay Area to own and operate a unique cross-training facility. After five years, that partnership had grown to include three locations that specialized in circuit training, aerobic movement classes and person training.Mark has experience working with clientís special needs to include post rehabilitation, osteoporosis, spinal alignments and postural concerns, weight loss and improved self-esteem, pre- and post-natal, and menopausal issues. Mark is the Fitness Director of The Bellevue Club in Oakland. Mark has a successful persona training business today, working with clients and their healthcare providers to support their pursuit of health and well-being.
