My specialty within the field of photography is photographing people and place either together or separately. Although I am a Washington, DC based photographer, I work outside of the area as well as at local venues. Whether photographing for a magazine, public relations event, wedding or a personal documentary, I enjoy learning about others through my camera and photographing the beauty that is the result of the connection. It is important to photograph as much of the story as possible to reveal the essence of the vent and the end result includes the subtleties as well as the major happenings of the day. I enjoy photographing for editorial and travel assignments. Photographing for assignments has taken me throughout the US. Foreign projects include, Teenagers in Japan, Summer in Iceland. Within the US projects include Organic farm, Migrant Farm Worker, Chinatown.
I have photographed numerous weddings, portraits, public relations events, gatherings bar and bat-mitzvahs within the greater Washington, DC area. The process includes conversation and / or meeting before hand to learn the needs of the event. The end result is a combination of my creativity and the client's needs.
