Lunch truck, catering truck, or otherwise categorized as ambient/out of home advertising has been around since the 60's. Largely sold by hucksters seeking to sell advertising that was unregulated and difficult to prove and verify. The easy profits of selling what they did not have to pay for in the form of leases or licenses brought other operators in the business. The industry of industrial catering advertising as seen a sea saw of companies offering this medium. Even today, there are several operators that offer lunch truck advertising with no leases or legal rights or interest to display advertising on Mobile Food Preparation Vehicles (MFPV). In 1999, OAS harnessed this powerful medium by joining together an elite group of investors and management team. This union afforded OAS's research and development and forged their absolute right to advertise on the vehicles and their commissary owners within the network. The end result of the 18 month effort was the formation of the National Network of Advertising on Lunch Trucks.
