Kimber Ard is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of fine Art in Photography, and is the owner of Studio K in Dahlonega, Ga. She is a focused artist looking foreword to capturing your family’s special moments to become kept for a lifetime.
Studio K’s name came from Kimber Ard’s nephew Dane, who has always called her Auntie K. When Kimber was thinking of what she would call her studio, K seemed to pop up, and was deemed perfect.
Kimber is driven to capture lives special moments via weddings, one time events, the yearly events, or just because.
Her interest in photography started as a young child, but it was not until she lived in Europe that she discovered she wanted a career as a photographer. The beauty and history of the surroundings completely captivated her and provided the inspiration and the desire to share it with others.
Every time Kimber opens her eyes she feels like she is looking through the lens of a camera. Life is her canvas and it is her intention to spend her life capturing it with her camera. She believes that photography is an essential component of life.
Kimber has lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Alabama and Europe. She currently resides in Gainesville, Georgia and lives with her dog, Jackson.
