Middle Bass (Ohio) Volunteer Fire Department - Welcome
The Middle Bass Volunteer Fire Department was established in July 2006. The all volunteer department has twenty members. The fire station is located on the airport property in the hanger building. Two social fund raisers are held each summer; a pancake breakfast in June, and a Pig Roast and Sunset Cruise in July.
The Middle Bass Volunteer Fire Department supplies smoke alarms to all residences on the island free of charge. The fire department also sells reflective house numbers for $15.00

Effective November 1, 2009, the Middle Bass Volunteer Fire Department improved its fire rating by ISO from a class 10 to a class 9 department.
An Open House is held each August for the public to tour the fire station, see the equipment, and to meet the firemen.
The department holds one business meeting and one training meeting monthly.
