After studying as a designer at Paris fashion school Duperré, Charlotte Halpern began her career working in trend offices and with fashion designers, before moving progressively towards images. A film graduate, Bertrand Houdin first worked in the art-buying department at Saatchi & Saatchi, then as a casting director for music videos and commercials.
In 2001, the pair of old friends decided that their shared love of optical illusions, trompe loeil images and graphic riddles was enough reason to team up and create Anamorphée. A mix of image consultancy and a graphic design and photography studio, the collective defines itself as a space for visual experimentation.
Anamorphée has worked on Hermès squares, prints for Erès swimwear, Gap catalogues, the visual identity of Krug Champagnes events, and consulted for Dior Homme perfumes.
