Jake Cohn
Jake Cohn's portfolio website for freestyle and big mountain skiing. Jake was born in Telluride, Colorado in 1987 and by age two he was already on skis. By age 10 Jake was competing in regional mogul competitions with the Telluride Freestyle Ski Team. For high school Jake attended the Lowell Whiteman School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and continued to compete in freestyle, big mountain, slopestyle, big air, and half pipe competitions earning himself a spot on the Colorado All Star Team for three consecutive years (2004-2007). Continuing to make top three as a junior in the Crested Butte U.S. Extreme Free Skiing Championships Jake decided to pursue his ski career as well as a college education. Jake is currently enrolled at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Taking the winter terms off Jake is able to balance his studies and skiing. In the winter of 2007 Jake tore his ACL. As a result of this injury Jake stayed in school to heal and get caught up. That following winter Jake continued to compete on the I.F.S.A World Tour and came back even stronger and earned himself a first place finish at the Salomon Freeride Championship in Taos, New Mexico.
