his is the official, undergraduate-maintained, Tiger Inn HomePage. Tiger Inn was founded in 1890 with an impetus the same as its current function. Since it became the first clubhouse on "The Street" in February of 1895, Tiger Inn has been a place to relax, talk with friends, study, play cards, shoot billiards, and notoriously (perhaps most importantly) enjoy beverages with fellow members in the least pretentious atmosphere on campus. We are an incredibly diverse membership with the only tie binding us being quality of character (and for many, the only tie we own is the one we were handed at sign-ins). Tiger Inn is not a fraternity. While there are fraternities on campus, and The Inn's functions share many commonalities with fraternities at other schools, Tiger Inn is an Eating Club; at the heart of its being, the 120 members share all of their meals at one of four dining room tables. It is a testiment to the glory of Tiger Inn not only that we must for practical reasons be selective in who we accept as members, but also that our doors are swamped two nights a week with a healthy proportion of Princeton's enrollment which almost unilaterally considers Tiger Inn "the place to be." We already knew that.
